Proverbs

We have all heard the saying about how sometimes looking for something can be like trying to find the proverbial "Needle in a haystack".  I am pretty sure at some time we have all found ourselves trying to find the blasted needle at one point or another. That haystack seems huge and the needle is nowhere to be found, or so it seems.

Then there are times when things just seem too good to be true. So we wait for the other shoe to drop and let the chips fall where they may.  There has to be something wrong. We just know it, right? So we go looking for the deal-breaker, waiting for the spoiler to come along and almost rather expect someone or something to rain on our parade. 

The sad reality of this is that often times, when you go looking for trouble, looking for a fight or wait for something bad to happen- you will find it. If you look long and hard enough, something will come up... That blasted "Needle in the haystack" WILL be found because you wanted so badly to find it.  

In the land of ~Pixies~ and people as well, "Like begets like".  You asked for it and now you've got it. Be careful what you wish for, because sometimes you just might get it. Sometimes what you think is a blessing, may very well turn out to be a curse...

    In this modern age I find using a magnet or failing that getting a new needle works for me....

      Not all needles are made of metal that a magnet will pick up. I'd skip straight to going with the new one. :-)

    I have a bad habit of doing that...not completely enjoying a good thing because I expect something negative to happen. I'm not sure how to not do that.

Snowflakes

Sometimes we meet people that we know we are going to have further contact with. There's a spark of some kind that let's us know we will be involved in something bigger. Something that will be keeping us busy for a long time together. A sensitive may know this upon sight. People who aren't sensitives, may not know this and may even fight everything about it, either in full denial of the whole thing or not wanting to believe it. Snowflakes are different and special. People are too. I met one of these people a while back. About a year ago our paths crossed in a rather nonspectacular way. The second time our paths crossed, There were things I knew about them before a single word had been spoken. Since then our paths have crossed several more times.
