Lying it aside
Once I had dispelled the myths in my brain about all of the things I was
nervous, harassed, worried, concerned over and dreading, I was able to talk to
my friend about what sparked it all off. As it turns out, there were/are
concerns on both sides of that fence. Many of them that my friend had were just
as unfounded as my own. We were both putting way too much into things that
wouldn't be happening overnight and as agreed- when the day comes... then we
will see what is to come of it.
Yes, I found it's best not to fret over things that haven't happened yet because it causes unnecessary stress.
ReplyDeleteUnnecessary stress is just what we all need, no?
Deletegood that you were able to step back and then talk it out
ReplyDeleteIt was a relief and almost funny when we did. because what we were both so concerned about was really minor in the grand scheme of things.
Deletegreat you talked! it is so much easier to just let the brain run wild with thoughts then talking things out with the person...well for me because i am scared of doing that...
ReplyDeleteSome people are very up front and almost confrontational. Others love their mind with things like that. Tough road either way.
DeleteI am the king of overanalyzing things, so it's good to not worry about things that haven't happened yet. Just let them happen.
ReplyDeleteWaiting for them to happen can be the challenge though...
